Top five both ways!

I was thrilled to see that in the 200 best/worst jobs list, I have BOTH the 5th best and 5th worst jobs. I am both a software engineer (rank 5) and an EMT (rank 196).

What I want to know is exactly what a "roustabout" is and why their job is supposedly better than mine.

Notably missing in the five axies of comparison is job satisfaction. I find both of my jobs to be immensely satisfying and rewarding.

As a side note, I was working at an event where a group of star wars storm-troopers were parading as part of a promotion. My partner and I went and asked one of the troopers what it took to be one. His reply was that you first had to buy your own uniform, then get yourself to the venue at your own expense, and then stand and wait for long periods of time. Turns out being a storm trooper and an EMT are almost identical.
